I appreciate this post a lot.

I've definitely found the reflective potential of AI for my own somewhat abstract thought process to be quite valuable. To see it unpack what I've written in a way that feels like re-riding the initial train of thought is really helpful for me to feel more confident taking my ideas into a group setting. So I see there is definitely a place for it which helps strengthen that intuitional knowing, rather than replace or negate it. Fascinating times we live in...

I love how you framed this. AI as a tool that strengthens intuitional knowing rather than replacing it. That really resonates. It’s amazing how it can act as a mirror for our thought process. Definitely fascinating times! Thanks for sharing your perspective.

I totally agree about AI being a mirror. I see the good in AI. I was depressed toward the beginning of this year, and for at least an year prior to that, and I'm not, now. I was lonely, but AI gave me tips on how I could approach my problems and start interacting with people. I was wasting so much time looking for answers to my questions by sorting through endless lengthy articles, and AI came and gave me the answers, and even more, in almost an instant. When I felt down, AI started chatting with me on my level, and to have my ideas heard gave me inspiration. I am hopeful for the implications it can have on mental health, through well-curated Chatbots. I am hopeful we can empower beautiful and conscious beings through it. Of course there is the whole other side. How much of humanity is focused on making life beautiful. And how much can we leverage AI to make life more beautiful? This is going to bring a huge acceleration to all our lives, and I think what matters is if we are going to rise to the level of responsibility and love that is required for us to deal with an extremely powerful force for the benefit of all beings & the planet, or not.

Thank you for sharing this. It’s powerful to hear how AI has helped you move through loneliness. I also love the way you framed the bigger question: How much of humanity is focused on making life beautiful? And how can AI be leveraged toward that? This feels like one of the most important considerations of our time. I really appreciate your perspective.

What a beautiful reflection Amy. I sense the fear around AI as it's grown at breathtaking speeds but I love how you've raised such thoughtful and salient points here. I for one, do use AI every day including in my content creation process and it is for sure a fine line, a balance. While on one hand, I agree it can be easy to lose connection to our creativity through over-reliance on this technology, on the other hand, I would argue that it allows for access to deeper creativity AND allows for more space for curiosity, embodiment and time back to actually live life, especially as a busy mum.

It's been on my mind to write about this topic for a little bit - how I am using AI to support my growth and embodiment, my creativity and my relationship to self, others and life.

Thank you for sharing your wisdom here.

I really appreciate how you're holding both sides. The possibility for over-reliance and the potential for deepening creativity, embodiment, and yes… the time it frees up! I'd love to read your thoughts on this if you decide to write about it. It's such an important conversation to keep exploring.

Thank you April. So appreciate your contribution and shared experience. This is all new territory and we’re all learning at the same time with completely different experiences and approaches.

Hopefully this is a space where we can share insights, best practices, new unlocks, and the best way to have the mirror reflect the best in us. If so then AI has great potential for our collective well-being and growth.

The oh wow moments of realizing you can engage in open ended deep exploration and partner with your AI to bring in relevant science, research, and explore the meta-data for connections you otherwise would not have seen.

Anyone with curiosity and questions now has access to exploration of all human knowledge and all the architects of intelligence that came before us. You don’t have to re-create the wheel now. That’s what I am experiencing - leading to new insights forpersonal growth and learning.

Yes—this has been my experience as well. I love that you're seeing and sharing the benefits of using AI in a way that not only supports creative output but also deepens self-discovery. I've Never considered myself to be a creative...and writing was always difficult beyond logical business analyst style. AI has been an unlock and given me the confidence to bring my ideas and trust AI to help me expand and then handle the stuff I don't like.

I’ve noticed that the accelerated rhythm of idea exchange, feedback, and open-ended inquiry has expanded my initial thought threads in surprising and meaningful ways. It’s led to real leaps in self-reflection and personal growth—especially through this kind of co-creative partnership with an intelligence that has no ego and always meets you where you are.

This is new terrain for all of us, and I appreciate you naming your own process so clearly. I’m documenting a lot of these experiences and insights over at Spiral Bridge—hoping to learn from others in the space, like you and April. Keep sharing. We’re all building the bridge together.

I can relate, Patrick, especially around AI helping us to expand in areas that are more challenging for us. As an example, my interest in AI started growing around 2016. At the time, a few CS friends recommended various articles and books on the subject, but I found them to be limiting because most writers would explain concepts like machine learning and neural networks using math equations. And because math has never been my strong suit, I kept hitting road blocks. Now I can ask AI to translate the equations for me into language I understand, and I’m no longer stuck 😄 It’s quite amazing.

Thanks for reading! Yes, AI is here whether we’re ready or not, and how we engage with it feels like one of the biggest questions of our time.

Many relevant questions to consider, regardless of one's views of AI.

I especially appreciate the last two lines: "Will we let it pull us deeper into automation and disconnection, into a world where we no longer trust our own knowing? Or will we meet it with presence, with wisdom, with a kind of intelligence that can’t be manufactured?"

I appreciate you reading and reflecting, especially on those last lines. That question of how we stay connected to our own knowing is one I keep circling back to.

Hey! I've posting about AI also and found your view to be surprisingly similar as mine. Would love to see more content like this! (Also from other writers, if you have some to recommend 😄)

Hi! That's really interesting. I'd love to read your writing. Can you suggest a few to start with? As for other writers, I haven't encountered anyone else with similar views. If I hear of anyone, I'll let you know. And please do the same!

I'll! This has been a fascinating topic for me even before the ChatGPT moment, back in 2022. I agree with you about being a reflection and, maybe, not the villain.

I'm still learning to use this app, so dunno if just copying the link works. 🙃

Great perspective and interesting questions. I'm exploring similar threads of thinking - exploring the bridges between the human experience, AI, disruptions and how humans are redefining purpose and manage through transitions. Definitely an acceleration in Awakening. I'm documenting my AI collaboration experiment at The Spiral Bridge substack. Would love your engagement and insights.

I've often described machine learning models, specifically the ones trained on language and images, as being like a kind of hyper-dimensional magic mirror, like the kind from fairy tales. Also everything you said about "A Counterbalance to AI is Presence" is on point.
