This is such an important piece of work April it seems like you have been called to it. Too often it is the women who go unnamed or are left out completely. I wish you well with this project.
This is exquisite. What a labor of love, devotion and courage... feels like a reckoning. What a gift you are giving your entire ancestral line! The AI image feels so braided with truth. I am looking forward to learning about your journey as you go!
And the timing of me reading this... (!) ...I was just thinking this morning about my great grandmother who was left on a doorstep. I did a ritual last year to reconnect that part of our family line back to the tree, wondering if the name I heard in my sleep yesterday belongs to her mother, my great, great grandmother, the one I invoked - the one who was compelled to leave her baby daughter on the steps of strangers.
Thank you for sharing your story as it unfolds, you honor all women everywhere with this. 🙇♂️
Thank you, Cynthia. Your words really touched me. The story you shared about your great-grandmother and the name in your sleep gave me chills. These threads feel very alive! I’m grateful to be in this conversation with you.
Holy moly, the unseen thread indeed. What a beautiful concept to visualize this. Heaven and Earth embodied.
Thank you, Stephanie. ‘Heaven and Earth embodied’ carries the spirit of this whole project so clearly!
Awesome! Love that you’re doing this

Yes it does feel like I’ve been called to this. There are voices that want to be heard. Thank you for seeing me and for supporting the project🙏🏼

Same, thank you! Also, the title of your piece is absolutely perfect.
