I'm sitting in a still point watching as my mind wonders what it should grasp onto to save itself. The deeper the unwinding, the more subtle the hooks, the more subtle the grasp. Nice to find you on substack! 🥰
Thank you for reminding me of the beauty and power in stillness, April. Your words gently reassured me that it’s okay not to rush, but simply to trust the pause. Beautifully comforting.
Beautiful, so true. Such a beautiful post. Yes, this kind of "listening" is vital, part of our natural rhythm, staying in the womb, a deep "knowing" that does not need explanation, as you said, but is a necessary gestation.
One of my favorite books to read to my son when he was little is called, "The Other Way to Listen" by Byrd Baylor and Peter Parnall. I used to wonder what it meant, even though my gut already knew.
Precisely. And you have illustrated this so beautifully in this post- "This moment is asking for trust." "...in the quiet moments between the tides," "You are arriving." - such a good reminder; it brought me back home. 🙏
Leaning into the stillpoint has literally saved my life. Thank you for writing about it so beautifully, and lovingly. This is true wisdom!❤
Thanks for the reassurance that I am arriving but for now I’m in the pause and that is helpful.
Thank you for kind and necessary wisdom.
Lovely serendipity 💛

Nice to be with you here, Diane! 💜
So beautiful, April, and resonating with so many people. What a gift to share.
Thank you! ❤️
Thank you for expressing so well something that I have recently understood. It is clearer to me now. Greetings from Italy.
I’m glad it found you, Cecilia. My daughter will be in Italy this summer for a language immersion program. I’m tempted to visit her 😊

I love that image of staying in the womb.
Even just the title of the book you shared feels like a reminder of what we already know 💜
Yes, exactly. And the womb, the stillness - without it, there is no birth.
Yes...such a different kind of birth than pushing things into being before they’re ready.
